Vered Kellner, PhD
Vered Kellner is a tenure-track assistant professor at the Medical University of Vienna. She completed her PhD at Bar-Ilan University in Israel and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and at Johns Hopkins University. Since her PhD, Vered has been fascinated by astrocytes and is now on a mission to discover what these cells do in the context of sensation, development and disorders.
Research technician
Elisabeth Bauer, MSc
Elisabeth Bauer joined the Kellner lab as a research technician in September 2023. She completed her Bachelor degree in Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Applied Sciences FH Campus in Vienna and her Masters in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience at the University of Tübingen in Germany.
PhD student
Niina Chaar, MSc
Niina Chaar joined the Kellner lab as a PhD student in December 2023. She completed her Bachelor degree in Micorbiology and Cell pathology at the University of Sydney in Australia and her Masters in Human Neuroscience at University of Turku in Finland. Her project will focus on elucidating the role of astrocyte-neuron interactions in the context of neurodevelopmental disorders.
